Radial Gold Digger Passive 4 Channel Mic Selector
The Radial Gold Digger is a 4 channel microphone selector that allows an engineer to compare the sound of 4 different microphones while they all share the same preamp. The "straight wire" passive circuit design doesnt consist of any audio buffers or transformers. The Gold Digger has military grade gold contact relays that manages the switching process which gives you clear sound without adding distortion or coloring the sound in any way.
The Gold Digger has 4 XLR female inputs on the back plus an XLR Male output located on the front. Each channel has it's own "radial style" selector that makes sure there is no bleeding into other channels. The external power supply charges the replays and generates the 48v phantom power needed to power condenser microphones that can be turned on or off for each mic. To ensure an equal comparison between microphones, individual 'set & forget' controls let you adjust each mic level so that they produce the same output. Once set up, the Gold Digger not only improves workflow, but also gives the artist more confidence with the sound of the vocal, resulting in a better overall performance.
