Decked out in a relic Sherwood Green finish from headstock to end pin, this Custom Shop ’64 spec J-bass has enough visual appeal to make any bass player’s pulse rise, but stay tuned-- Its true beauty runs far deeper than its lacquer finish and mint green ‘guard.
The offset body is made from hand-selected Alder chosen for lightweight and resonance. The neck features a quartersawn roasted maple with a 60s accurate shallow-U shape and medium-tint lacquer finish. The fingerboard is made from a thick 9mm hand-sorted AAA-premium dark rosewood slab. ”Clay-style” Micarta dot inlays complete the vintage vibe, while Vintage Upgrade/45085 fret wire and a bone nut satisfy the demands of modern players.
This fantastic build sports a pair of hand-wound and matched Custom Shop vintage 60s style J-bass pickups, controlled with vintage style VVT wiring (two individual pickup volume controls and a master tone control).
