Check out Candy Tangerine! It's not an actual Vintage custom color, but it tops the list of today's player favorites. Relic’d lightly (where it counts) with just enough cosmetic wear and tear to look authentic--and heavily relic’d (where it counts) for player comfort and performance.
The neck construction features a “best of” mix of features, starting with the vintage 1962 era slab-board (complete with hand-selected dark Rosewood and clay dots), a 1954 style hand-filling deep U carve, and a modern 9.5” playing radius and taller than vintage 45085 fret wire. What little finish is on the neck’s back (at the heel and behind the end cap) features medium tinted lacquer —with the bulk of the playing surface sporting Fender’s smooth-feel, unfinished “dirty neck” treatment.
A flat-pole No-Caster pickup sits inside the ’62-style relic bridge plate. A Fender OBG “Black ‘Guard” pickup sits inside the 62 style mint green ‘guard--rounding out an amazingly complementary mix of vintage and modern Fender elements.
