In 1968, Fender decided it was time for a cosmetic change in their amp line. The tone was still unmistakably Fender but the look now boasted and silver-and-turqoise front panel and aluminum drip edge grill cloth. Tonally, the amp is full, loud, and warm with the kind of tone that only an all-tube amp can deliver. There are some modern twists in the Vintage Modified model, such as both channels boasting reverb and tremolo where the original model only had them on the 2nd channel. Basically, this latest offering from Fender is a hot-rodded, true-to-form all-tube amplifier that has classic looks and sounds with some modern flair.
