The six different Vic Firth American Custom Timpani Mallets are designed to reflect Vic's fifty year career as a timpanist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.  Each mallet is crafted from a single piece of rock maple in order to eliminate a core that create a rattle and the need for a washer to secure the head.  When Combined with round seamless heads, the Vic Firth American Custom Timpani Mallets produce bigger and brighter sounds.  The T2 mallets are very soft, making them ideal for soft rolls, and legato strokes while producing the richest sounds.
